The Town of Webster Springs is a busy place every Memorial Day Weekend. The sound of hot saws, the excitement of axes slapping logs as choppers try to beat world records, the thrill of the Spring Board competitions, the smell of sawdust are just some of the signs when over 100 world-class Timber Sport athletes come to the area to compete for the title of Southeastern World Champion Woodchopper. The competitors also compete for a purse of prize money worth over $30,000.
