2016 Holiday Events Guide

With our bellies full after a hearty Thanksgiving, we’re rolling into the holiday season at full speed! If you’re as excited as us, chances are you’ve already hung the stockings with care, strung the lights and maybe dusted off the fake tree from your basement. While you may be starting to look the part of Holiday Cheermeister, we’ve got a full schedule of events and activities in our 2016 Webster Holiday Guide to get you into the holiday spirit!

1. Hometown White Christmas – December 1-December 31, 2016
Downtown streets, buildings and the Baker’s Island Recreation Area are decorated with thousands of lights and dozens of interesting Christmas displays. Many merchants offer extended store hours and other special events.

2. Magic On Main Street – December 2, 2016, 6-8PM
Get out and enjoy the start of the holiday season in downtown Webster Springs. Various businesses will be singing Christmas Carols, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’ readings, Letters to Santa, ornament decorating, face painting, door prizes, magic show, hot chocolate and much, much more! Plus, a special visit from the man in red himself! Bring the family and enjoy a night of winter wonder in Webster.

3. Choose & Cut Your Own Christmas Trees
Take your family to pick out your own tree this year at Lake’s Tree Farm! Offering an array of different evergreens to choose from – saws and tie down string offered on site. Offering full grown trees and bows to decorate and add holiday warmth to your home this year.  Call for appointment, open all day Saturday & Sunday after 1pm.

4. Catholic Charities – Webster Cares Christmas Gifts for Children
We all know Christmas isn’t just about presents – but for a parent in need, having a gift for their child under the Christmas Tree is a precious way of sharing the holiday spirit. Please join us in helping to provide children with a special gift in Webster County. Food and Christmas gifts are greatly appreciated to aid those in need. Drop off donations at 113 North Main Street Monday – Friday, 9 – 5pm. If you’d like to sponsor a family, or you have any questions, call Tina at 304-847-7416.
